Have you ever noticed how much delight a baby boy takes in discovering his penis? I have filmed a cracker of a video of Elliott in the bath discovering his little willy for the very first time ( I am keeping the footage safe in the 21st birthday vault!). Funny thing is his initial discovery has developed into a daily ritual that, until last night, I did not realise was so entrenched in him...
As Elliott stood holding the edge of the bath, I undressed him, leaving his nappy on while I tended to the running water. Clearly I was taking too long for his liking because he kept shouting at me and eagerly looking down at his crotch in anticipation of seeing his willy. Off came the nappy and the bath proceeded with his usual enjoyment of swapping between playing with toys and playing with himself. Once the bath was over and he was on the change table, I gave him his toothbrush to chew as I popped a dry nappy on and started to dress him. Suddenly, he dramatically threw his toothbrush to the ground and thrust both hands straight towards his penis. To his utter disgust he discovered the nappy was already on and he had missed his evening willy play! He kept hitting at his nappy and trying to pull the nappy off but it was no good, there was no way he could get to it and boy did he make his objection known! I stopped and thought to myself, “My goodness, he has not even turned one yet and he is already so focused on his penis...God help me in the years to come!”
Oh well, at least I know there is always a career fallback option for him in Puppetry of the Penis.
NB: My husband has just informed me that I can’t refer to any penis, especially not his sons, as a “little willy”. My apologies dear xox
