Sophie's solution

Sophie had her 4 year old immunisations last week and as a result, she was feeling quite unwell. Poor little things arm swelled right up and she had some horrible fevers. Consequently, I became a bit of a softy and let her get away with a lot more than I usually would. She was allowed to watch TV during the day, eat some yummy treat food and generally indulge in whatever she felt like.
Now, I am a horrible nurse and only have a certain amount of “caring” in me...usually about 1 days worth! During the first day of sickness, Sophie repeatedly asked for hot chips, to which I patiently answered “No”. By day two, I was well and truly over this request and come lunch time, I snapped. I lectured Sophie on how chips are a special treat food and that her constant nagging for them is becoming a real problem that I simply will not tolerate. She considered what I had said for a moment, then in her sweetest little voice she replied “But Mummy, if you just buy some chippys that will solve the problem”....now why didn’t I think of that lol J
