Bugger, bugger, shit, bugger, shit. The weekend abused my diet...actually, I think it should be the other way around...I abused my diet over the weekend. There, I said it! I would love to get on here today and motivate you all by saying my weight loss journey has been nothing but successful, but it hasn't. I went really well all week but then the combination of feeling exhausted and frustrated with the kids, being home alone and watching bloody cooking shows got the better of me. I caved, big time. I made a batch of chocolate spiders and ate them...all of them. I begged Mat to buy hot chips yesterday and I ate them...all of them. I bought Weeties cereal for the kids on the groceries and you all know my weakness for cereal so I ate a bowl, and then another and then one more for good measure. The old me would chalk this up to an epic failure and throw in the towel, resolving that I cannot lose weight or stick to anything I try. But, something strange has happened this time...
I am not beating myself up about it at all! Don't get me wrong, I am disappointed in myself but I have come to realise that I am only human. There will be slip ups along the way but that is no reason to give up. I paid attention to how rubbish I felt after eating the junk food and it was pretty awful compared to how great I felt all week eating healthy food and looking after myself. This alone is motivating me to keep on going. I kind of feel like a grown up being this mature and rational about the whole thing (admittedly, at 28 years old, married with two kids, a mortgage and negative bank balance, I technically am a grown up!)
Anyway, for today's Motivational Monday piece, I thought we would dabble in a healthy dose of exercise and wellbeing snippits. Enjoy xox
Imagine being able to do this!!! I am going to get fit enough to do this for sure!
My future arse...wishful thinking lol!
